The Messenger

An early piece from 2005, and still one of my favorites. She's based on a creepy story that appeared in the Twilight Zone magazine, "The River Styx Runs Upstream" by Dan Simmons. The accompanying illustration showed a grinning woman with pennies over her eyes.
